THIERRY CROMMEN, harmonica
This Belgian harmonica player was born in 1958. As a self-taught musician, he was very early involved in listening to great harp players like, of course, the Belgian Master Toots Thielemans. But he was also loving the sound of Blues Harp that much. So, unlike most harpists who favor one or the other, Thierry became equally proficient on both chromatic and diatonic harmonicas.
He was soon acclaimed as belonging to the elite of the new generation of harmonica artists. He's now for years busy with studio sessions, workshops and concerts and he's especially fond of playing in small combos, as with the Trio he formed with Erno, keyboards and Chris De Pauw, guitar, for his first project as band leader. This project issued on CD « La Nouvelle Donne » (2004) and revealed a finely-crafted, sensitive music - own compositions with Latin, folk and jazz influences.
A new CD called « Versions Originales » was released in April 2007; in the same time the trio upgraded to quartet with Achim Tang on double bass.
Also featuring as very special guests : Sanseverino, Bill Barrett and Karim Baggili.
CHRIS DE PAUW, acoustic guitar
He is an arranger, author and a composer, as well as an instrumentalist who studied music in the Conservatoire of Verviers. He has appeared on numerous stages in Belgium and France, and has revealed multifaceted talent in the studio: not only does he play guitar, he also sparkles on bass, drums, piano, violin and song.
He has worked with SWEET SHAKA (alt rock), FREDERIC DASTREVIGNE (French song, jazz), YVES B (technomusic), WILLY N'SITA (funk-jazz), McRahl (Celtic music), LENA MARIEL (French song), THIBAULT (children's music), A.J.F. (jazz-funk), RED IS THE COLOR (electronic rock), JEAN-FRANCOIS MALJEAN, SHLOMIT, PIERRICK PEDRON (jazz), FRANCO MANNARA and with artists of the SLAM scene.
He also cut his own album, on which he plays all instruments.
ERNO, piano
He has gathered unusual fellow travelers on a musical quest which refuses to bow to frontiers. Among his collaborators are SENSE OF DOUBT ("juvenile" rock), THE CROW (REALLY loud pop rock), GINGKO BILOBA (Afro funk), PJ JUNIOR & SIMPLY THE BLUES (Blues and Grooves), 98% MAXIMUM SOUL (guess this one), WHACK (funk rock), FRAGRANCE TRIO (Cool Jazz Dandy's Cycle Music), EMMANUEL PICCARDI (French song), LEA GILMORE (blues and gospel), GROOVE BUS (as the name tells itself.).
ERNO is also an author and a composer. He recently made his "coming out" as french-pop singer, revealing very sensitive and poetical songs (CD Un Tango sur l'Eau / www.ernolementhole.com).
ACHIM TANG, double bass
He studied classical Music in Basel and Berlin. In 1987 he moved to Austria to study at the jazz department of the Hochschule für Musik und darstellend Kunst in Graz. After moving to Vienna in 1993 he quickly becomes one of Austria's most wanted bass players.
