Les doigts de l'homme
Albums :
Be positive about one thing : Les Doigts de L'Homme are not gipsy jazz musicians ! The three of them come from very contrasted musical backgrounds their sense of curiosity has brought them together around this music they've fallen in love with. They've never hankered after reproducing what was being played 50 years ago, but rather after boosting gipsy jazz into travelling further. You will find unexpected covers such as a swing version of Ravel's Bolero, old French songs adaptations like "Le poinçonneur des Lilas" of Serge Gainsbourg, but also, within their own compositions, a great diversity always stirred by an energy close to Rock n Roll (the trio was born on the street ) !!
In France, Les Doigts de l'Homme have already opened for Rodha Scott, Omar Sosa, and even....Murray Head !!
This is a must-not-miss band since when they start playing, anything might happen except what you're expecting...
