Melike Tarhan
(°1978) grew up listening to Turkish classical music, but fell in love with Turkish traditional music as well, so she went to Berlin to learn more about it. There she also took singing lessons from the experimental singer Claudia Herr and she studied at the same time Germanic Languages at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin.
Back in Ghent, she was given a degree in the Germanic Languages (University of Ghent). Then she started studying Indian singing techniques with Mahabub Khan (cf. Musafir, Rangila, ..) and she took lessons in Classical Singing Techniques with Mireille Capelle (Conservatory of Ghent).
Her first album MACAR which was internationally released by the French label Long Distance/ Harmonia Mundi has had very positive reviews (Daniel Browne/ Mondomix :'the new star of Turkish folk'). Next to her project 'Melike MACAR' she has already worked with a lot of different musicians, e.g. COMcerts 2005 (with Dirk Brossé, Ozark Henry, Laïs, Claron Mc Fadden, .) and furthermore she worked/ works as a lead singer with folk-jazz bigband Olla Vogala, la Caccia and Djamelike.
She was part of the jury which was chosen by the Flemish Ministery of Culture for the 'Cultuurprijzen 2005' and 'Cultuurprijzen 2009' (to select a music group that has done something meaningful in Flanders) as a representer of the ethnic/ world music.

Osama is a composer, Qanun player (Lap harp) and producer. He was born in Babylon (Iraq) 1968 and he studied western music (classical guitar) in the UK and eastern music (qanun and oud - lute) in Iraq.
He participated in several Arab and international festivals including the UK, France, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco and Iraq.
Furthermore he performed and toured all over the world with different groups like Osama Abdulrasol & Ensemble, the symphonic orchestra of Antwerpen (deFilharmonie) with Dirk Brossé, Goran Bregovic, The Flemish Radio Orchestra, Goran Bregovic, Melike, Olla Vogala, Wannes vande Velde, Luc de Vos, Oblomow, Djamel, Nahdha, les Mesopotamiens, Weshm, Lula Pena, Elftwelvtrio, Woestijn 93, Les Ballets C de la B and several other groups and theatre productions.
Lode Vercampt
A classical cellist, who was already the winner of the Jeunes Talents contest at the age of nine and who became the winner of Pro Civitate.
He studied at Ghent conservatory and performed with Il Novecento, I Flammimghi and Prima La Musica, but also with Gorki, Jo Lemaire, Johan Verminnen and Dirk Blanchard.
He plays regularly with the music theatre productions of 'Het muziek Lod', with 'Hush Hush' and the opera 'The Woman Who walked Into Doors' of Kris Defoort.
Furthermore, he plays with Catherine Delasalle and Ambush, Bodixel, and in the newest production of Alain Platel and Les Ballets C de la B 'Pitié'.
